Fény-Tér-Kép Conference

In 2011 the Fény-Tér-Kép Conference (photogrammetry, remote sensing and GIS) was held on Károly Róbert University in Gyöngyös. GeoData Services was also there with a presentation called "Common language - Earth Observation educational materials for universities". The first and the second part of our new preparing educational material waas introduced, which was compiled under the ESA PECS project called "Earth Observation Knowledge and Technology Dissemination in Hungary".

XVI. ESRI Conference

Between 6-7th October was held the GDi Forum 2011 and the 16th ESRI Hungary User Conference, whre GeoData Servicesalso attended. Our poster can be downloaded from here.

Satellite image ordering option for reduced rates

Under a special end year promotion, GeoEye-1 and IKONOS images can be ordered for reduced rates:

20% discount for tasking orders

from 20% up to 50% discount for archive orders (discount depends on the order size)

Please contact us for further information!

Project Office in Mainz

Our new project office in Mainz is opened in July 2011.

The validation of KIM/KEO application is completed

Our KEO application development is validated. The results of the validation are adequate. This application is suitable for decision support tasks, but for landscape ecological studies, the researching need are not fully gratified (just about 70 %). Similar development of applications in KIM/KEO system are going on.

SWM Project

Our company is commissioned to homogenize and revise the electrical and telecommunicational utilities map of Mainz by the Stadtwerke Mainz AG. The graphical and numerical data will be loaded into a registrational and operational system based on Bentley sisNET program. The geometrical revise and the change to UTM system is necessary, because the public utilities instead of the track representation system will be registered into a more-line cable representation system. First the digital maps and the further numerical service data will be integrated into the sisNET system.

EARTH OBSERVATION AND LIFE CONFERENCES
Researching options with ESA developments - technical day

On 30th of November was held a technical day called "Researching options with ESA developments" the second stage of the Earth Observation and Life Conferences joining to the Earth Observation Knowledge and Technology Dissemination project.
For introduction Elod Both (head of Hungarian Space Office) presented the status of our ESA accession, then there were some presentation about earth observation methods and applications in Hungary by János Lichtenberger (ELTE Space Research Group), Judit Bartholy (ELTE Department of Meteorology) and Levente Horváth (MTA-BCE Adaptation to Climate Change Research Group), finally Gábor Csornai (consultant) delineated the trends of earth observation. At the second part of the conference, the earth observation programme of ESA and the use of the KEO system were presented by the project managers of ESA: Francesco Sarti, Sergio D'Elia and Andrea della Vecchia.
About 60 participants took part on the conference, which shows that many specialist, scientific researcher and students are interested in earth observation. More conferences and programs going to be held in the future joining to the Earth Observation Knowledge and Technology Dissemination project.

Our application development in KEO System on the GeoNetwork
The metadata of our application development in KEO System can be found on GeoNetwork. The aim of the application is to support the decision of rural development by automatized analysis of satellite images.
AUTOMISED KNOWLEDGE CENTERED TOURISTIC ADEQUACY ASSESSMENT

Information about KIM/KEO System

KEO means Knowledge-centric Earth Observation, now this is the largest public remote sensing data processing system in the world. There are three key-words: public, remote sensing and data processing, so this is a complex and integration system. KEO gives opportunity for scientific research and development by easing data access and automating data process and interpretation. Not only simple analysis, but complex Decision Support System can be generated by the help of KEO System. This can be a new tool for future planning and sustainable development. More information about KEO System can be found on KEO website.

Panorama - Opening Conference

EARTH OBSERVATION AND LIFE CONFERENCES
PANORAMA - OPENING CONFERENCE

On 20th of May was held the opening occasion of the Earth Observation and Life Conferences joining to the Earth Observation Knowledge and Technology Dissemination project. Reflecting to the subject and the multidisciplinary viewpoint of the conference the title was Panorama. The aim of the presentations was to introduce the Hungarian earth observation applications. Besides the Hungarian applications even the ESA earth observation activities were presented by Sergio D'Elia (ESA). Among the cca. 65 participants we could welcome Bernard Zufferey (head of ESA ESTEC), Andrea Della Vecchia (project manager of ESA) and Előd Both (head of Hungarian Space Office). The opening speech was held by Dr. János Lichtenberger (ELTE Space Research Group). Even the head of the Institute of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing, Gábor Csornai had a presentation of the developments of the institute.

The number and the activeness of the participants showed us that the demand and the interest for the topic of Earth Observation is rapidly growing nowadays. According to the long-term programme of the Conferences we hope to disseminate the earth-observation information and knowledge on more events like this.

The presentations and the abstracts can be found on the web-page of the project

The visit of the Ministry of Spatial Development, Environmental and Consumer Issues from Brandenburg and the Ministry of Spatial Development and Agrar-Issues from Saarland

On 17th of May the delegacy of the two ministries (in the head line) from Brandenburg and Saarland visited GeoAdat Ltd.. The aim of the event was to harmonize the details of the CwRS Campaign 2010 and to present the process of the action.

Research and development project about easement of high electricity wires, cadastrals of properties and e-administration

GeoAdat Ltd. prepared the control of the research and development project about easement of high electricity wires and cadastrals of properties and e-administration called for tender by the consortium of ELMŰ-ÉMÁSZ. The research had not finished. GeoAdat should analyse the final report prepared until June.
